I’m back from Japan; got in late last night after a 36 hour day. After more than six months of planning, my one month trip went very quickly. I’m feeling a little deflated; I can’t believe it’s over. I have a lot more to say and lots of pictures to post, as soon as I finish going through the mail to make sure my electricity won’t be shut off.
One of the things I missed in Japan was the beautiful fall color in the trees. Because of our changing climate most of the colors were late this year. But I woke up this morning to this scene in my back yard,
and just down the street I found more wonderful color.
How good to know you made it home and are recovering. I too am having all the same after effects from my only nine day trip. “He” took over 800 pictures…..I took less but am perfectly willing to canabalize his. 🙂

I love your website…..I am a fat old lady artist from Michigan……The Chihuly at Phipps was out of this world….I saw it in August 2007 and also at Kew Gardens in 2005. Awesome. I want to spent more time looking at your photos…GREAT!!
Welcome home…and I too, can’t believe the trip is over…it did go by too fast. But I can’t wait to hear more about it now that you can ponder what the trip revealed without the pressure to post every day….
Welcome back, Ruthe. Glad you made it back safe and sound. I’ll be checking back to see what else you have to tell us! & you’re right; those Pittsburgh fall colors are great!
Welcome Home! We readers can’t wait to see all the photos. The ones we have seen are great.
Rest, relax, and then post.
